2011 Video Gaming Prediction

Before I get started on this I would like to say that I'm going to look at it from a generally broad view of it. It seems as though that many people have their prediction for 2011. Whether it be sports related to the stock market,these predictions are made by either people who do interviews of whoever person who works for whatever company. People who think what is going to be changed or promoted. Now predominately I would revolve around predictions made for the gaming industry. So what better thing to talk about.

Here is some stats that I pulled from Suite101.com "2010 was a year of evolution, not revolution, for the video game industry, with Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony all enjoying strong sales success. PlayStation Move and Kinect introduced motion control to the PS3 and Xbox 360, while the launch of OnLive pointed to a possible future where cloud gaming makes us rethink what our concept of a games console actually is." Some people where saying that the PS4 and Xbox 3 is said to come out soon but Sony and Microsoft say that "We hope Move and Kinect will breathe life into our aging consoles." Now this leads me to believe that they will not be making a Next Generation console until the second half of 2011. Sony will most likely be announcing the PSP2 at E3 in July. Personally as a gamer all of this heavily affects me. For reasons like what I am to be looking for or what I am to anticipate. I am more than likely going to be shelling out a good chunk of money for all of this so I'm going to have to get a job or obtain money some way or another. Overall 2011 looks promising for gamers and the gaming industry. I hope that fellow gamers alike will think so as well.

New Year Explanation

The basic gist of a new years celebration is to celebrate the new year that is coming ahead. But this is not so true, I believe I hear that in Canada people celebrate the "old years". During this they celebrate the year that they are in coming to an end. For example it's 2011 they would celebrate 2011 coming to an end rather than 2012 beginning.

Most people know what a New Years resolution is but in case you did not here's a definition that I pulled from Wikipedia. "A New Year resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a personal goal, project, or the reforming of a habit." I myself did not make a resolution because I am generally a lazy person.

Fallout New Vegas

New Vegas cam out around September it basically a survival game. In the beginning you are shot and left for the dead. Ive seen gameplay and I thinking about getting this game. For full completion you need to put 200+ hours into the game. This game is kinda like a choose your own adventure type of thing. Complete certain quest may change the road you take further down which is why it's so hard to complete the game in one run. I like this game most other people will say it's stupid but eh... what can you do?

Goldeneye: 007

Goldeneye 007 is probably my favorite game that I own right now. It is an FPS but it is extremely fun. You have the option to complete the mission covert or run in guns' a blazing. Now some people may think that this is stupid but you have to play the original game first to get the full feel of the remake. Now it may be somewhat difficult coming across the original game as it is for the Nintendo 64, but luckily my friend has it and he brought it over. Playing the remake with the standard Wii controller might be a bit awkward so I advise to play it with a classic controller. You can purchase one separately or buy the version that comes with a gold controller.I would strongly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of anything James Bond.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cont.

Finally now that Black Ops is finally out I think that the game is awesome. The gameplay is great, the campaign mode is really strong. Zombie mode appears to be working properly. The multiplayer so far has a few bugs here and there, but what can you expect from a new game? You really have to buy this game to get the full feel of it. As i said before I strongly encourage everyone to play this game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

CoD: Black Ops is one of the most anticipated games of 2010. Ever since its reveal at E3 CoD fans have anticipated the game with great interest ever since. Personally I look forward to the game while other p0eople say it will be bad because of the previous CoD titles. Treyarch has been very busy with this new title. Not much is really known about the campaign or the multiplayer because Treyarch has been taboo about it. However we do know of three new weapons that will be introduced and Zombies is coming back as well. Overall this should be a great game, I hope that others think the same as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Wafare 2

Modern Warfare 2 is the newest installment of the call of duty series. I don't particularly like this game because of the people that play it hackers cheaters and glitchers. These are the people that ruin the game for everyone else. Another reason is that the story line is stretched out too much. Imagine a piece of gum and then you stretch it out. That's how the story line is built it was one probable thing and Infinity Ward stretched it out way too far. I'll just wait until the next Call of duty title comes out which happens to be on the ninth. I look forward towards the new title.
